Are you an outstanding team player with exceptional skills to diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust sewing machine equipment? We are seeking a skilled professional to step into the role of Sewing Machine Mechanic at the NMA zone. You will play a key role in optimizing our industrial processes, enhancing productivity and facilitating efficient and smooth flow of operations. Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing mechanical problems with sewing machines, identifying faulty parts, and carrying out repairs or replacements.
  • Keeping detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and parts used.
  • Working with production staff to address any machine-related issues affecting production.
  • Providing training to production staff on proper machine use and basic troubleshooting.
  • Adjusting machine settings like stitch length, width, and tension.
  • Replacing belts, motors, and other worn or damaged parts.
  • Testing machines after repairs to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Performing basic diagnostic tests to identify potential problems.
  • Installing new machinery and ensuring proper setup.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience as a mechanic in the apparel industry with a focus on plan production.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skill.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Proficiency in using hand power tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
