We are seeking a skilled professional to step into the role of Sewing Machine Mechanic at the NMA zone. You will play a key role in optimizing our industrial processes, enhancing productivity and facilitating efficient and smooth flow of operations. Responsibilities
- Diagnosing mechanical problems with sewing machines, identifying faulty parts, and carrying out repairs or replacements.
- Keeping detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and parts used.
- Working with production staff to address any machine-related issues affecting production.
- Providing training to production staff on proper machine use and basic troubleshooting.
- Adjusting machine settings like stitch length, width, and tension.
- Replacing belts, motors, and other worn or damaged parts.
- Testing machines after repairs to ensure they are functioning correctly.
- Performing basic diagnostic tests to identify potential problems.
- Installing new machinery and ensuring proper setup.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience as a mechanic in the apparel industry with a focus on plan production.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skill.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in using hand power tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
