Dye House Shift In-Charge

We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Dye House Shift In-Charge to oversee dyeing operations during assigned shifts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining color quality standards and ensuring the required production output while effectively managing all personnel within the shift. This position requires a minimum of three years of experience in a textile dyeing environment and a solid understanding of dyeing processes for cotton, polyester, and nylon fabrics.
Responsibilities
Production Management:
- Ensure production output meets departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Plan and allocate resources effectively to facilitate smooth production during shifts.
Quality Control:
- Ensure that color quality standards are met for all dyed lots.
- Collaborate with the Color Laboratory department to enhance color quality in both recipes and production lots.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address failures and improve overall dyeing accuracy.
Operational Efficiency:
- Plan and manage re-work processes to meet delivery lead times.
- Ensure optimal resource allocation and usage within the respective shift.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, train, and motivate the shift team to achieve production goals.
- Foster a collaborative work environment and encourage problem-solving among team members.
Health and Safety:
- Uphold health and safety standards within the dye house.
- Conduct regular safety assessments and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Requirements
- Diploma in Textile Technology or equivalent qualifications.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a textile dyeing environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in cotton, polyester, and nylon dyeing processes.
- Strong knowledge of color matching techniques and dyeing processes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to take initiative and implement improvements in processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work in a rotational shift environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact with various departments effectively.
