Human Resources - Executive – Employee Relations & Engagement

Location - Kandy (Panvila)

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement employee engagement initiatives and motivation programs aimed at improving employee retention and reducing absenteeism.
  • Assist in organizing and executing staff welfare activities and communication forums to strengthen employee relations.
  • Support line managers in addressing employee grievances and fostering a positive and harmonious work environment.
  • Contribute to the recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes in alignment with plant staffing requirements and HR plans.
  • Facilitate peer mentoring and employee counseling initiatives to ensure smooth integration and productivity of new hires.
  • Assist in planning and executing plant-level training and development programs based on identified skill gaps.
  • Maintain accurate HR records in compliance with Sri Lankan labor laws, BOI regulations, and internal HR policies.
  • Actively participate in plant-level events, committees, and communication forums as a representative of the HR team.

Qualification and Skills

  • A Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage employees at all levels.
  • Basic understanding of the garment manufacturing process, labor laws, and employee relations practices.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and passionate about driving people-focused initiatives.
  • The ability to speak Tamil will be an added advantage.
