Accounts Executive
We are EM1 certified by ICTAD Sri Lanka to carry out unlimited value turn-key projects in the design, supply, installation & commissioning of Fire & Security systems. In assurance of our commitment to customer satisfaction through quality, environment & social responsibility, we are certified by TUV for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001. Due to the rapid expansion we are experiencing in the construction industry in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh & Maldives. We are in the process of strengthening our driving force.
We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced individual to join our team as an Accounts Executive. If you have a passion for numbers, expertise in audit and tax, and the ability to work independently this is the opportunity. This is an on-site, full-time position based in Colombo, with a clear career path to the next level, subject to performance exceeding expectations.
Candidate Profile – Requirements
- Education: AAT qualification, or certificate level of CIMA/ACCA/CA, or a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in reputed audit firm.
- Age: Below 25 years
- Accounting Knowledge: In-depth understanding of accounting standards, financial reporting, and local tax regulations.
- Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, or Accsoft ERP systems).
- Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities.
- Work Style: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, handle multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and a proactive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records on a daily, monthly, and annual basis.
- Reconcile bank and ledger accounts, and manage monthly financial reporting.
- Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with accounting standards.
- Handle tax-related matters, including preparation and timely filing of VAT, SVAT, and income tax returns.
- Support the finance team in budgeting, forecasting, and day-to-day financial operations.
- Assist in process improvements and implementation of internal controls.
