Primary Job Role
As a Database intern you will contribute to database administration, deployment, monitoring, and continuous compliance with the database platform.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Explore and create documents to detail the development, testing, and production changes of databases.
- Work with OS support personnel to help in managing and maintaining database backups.
- Assist with performing database and application upgrades as required to meet corporate objectives.
- Support basic database administrator operations, troubleshooting, database health checks, monitoring scheduled jobs, and generating reports.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide RCA reports.
- Experience in working or utilizing various databases in projects.
Experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Database Systems and tools.
- Knowledge of Database Systems, SQL Programming, Query concepts, and tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Behavioral Competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to present analytic results and findings.
- Ability to develop custom solutions to support business requirements.
