Action Unity Lanka (AU Lanka) is a non-profit, local Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), working in collaboration with the children and communities to improve their well-being with the funding support from ChildFund. AU Lanka has been working in Batticaloa since 2011. In the year 2020, the Organization has expanded its program scope and is now implementing programs in other regions of Sri Lanka.
AU Lanka works for the well-being of children by supporting local initiatives that strengthen families and communities, enabling them to overcome poverty and protect the rights of their children. AU Lanka’s comprehensive programs include health, education, nutrition and livelihood interventions that sustainably protect nurture and develop children.
AU Lanka is looking for young, energetic, self-motivated and dedicated men or women to fill the following vacancies in the Batticaloa District.

Field Officer (01 Vacancy - Batticaloa)
Work with the SR unit in the field level. Ensure that the SR documents of enrolled families are kept safe and confidential and the correspondence is carried out in a timely manner so that the sponsor relationship will be maintained. Ensure maximum benefits are received by the enrolled children. Field Travel required.

Coordinator (01 vacancy - Batticaloa Koralai pattu south)
Climate Resilient & Sustainable development
The Coordinator will be in charge of the Resilience & Sustainable Development Program implemented in Manmunai west and Koralai pattu south DS divisions in Batticaloa District. He/She will oblige to the Job Description attached and provide leadership in planning, implementation and monitoring and evaluation of activities as well as budget management. He/She will also assist the Manager - Program Manager & Sponsorship relations to make sure that all the reports on said subsidy program and documents requested by government authorities are prepared and sent on time. Also be responsible for timely inputs provision for new proposal developments.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: All vacancies require a minimum of GCE Advanced level for officer and Degree for coordinator. Extra qualifications as per the post will be an added advantage. Computer literacy is a must and be familiar with MS office.
- Experience: Between 2 - 5 years working experience in the related field.
- Age: Males or Females between the age of 25 - 50 years can apply.
- Communication Skills: Written and speaking ability both in English & Tamil. Should be able to do presentations and public speaking to persuade and influence audiences. Should adopt a systematic, rather than a reactive approach to problems. Has to work well with people from diverse background.
- Must possess a valid riding license as field travel is required.
Remuneration:
An attractive remuneration will be paid to the selected candidate based on the educational qualifications and experience.
Duration:
3 months probation period and full time yearly contract with the possibility of a renewal.
