Position: Support Specialist – Network and Linux Systems

Key Responsibilities
Network Support
- Monitor and manage 1000+ Wi-Fi Access Points (Cisco, MikroTik, Ruckus, WatchGuard)
- Administer and troubleshoot Firewalls, Routers, and Switches (Cisco, MikroTik, WatchGuard, SonicWall, Brocade, HP)
- Support installation of various internet connections (ADSL, NBN, EFM, E-Lines, etc.)
- Design and deploy custom network solutions for clients
- Deep dive into TCP/IP troubleshooting and network health analysis
Linux Systems & Infrastructure
- Manage VMware ESXi infrastructure and storage networks
- Install, configure, and maintain RedHat/CentOS servers and AWS infrastructure
- Deploy and manage environments for web, app, and software platforms
- Utilize open-source monitoring tools (Zenoss, Zabbix, Icinga, etc.)
- Maintain server patching, security, and automation (Bash/Python scripting)
- Document infrastructure and configurations using industry best practices
General Support
- Resolve customer incidents and respond to system alerts
- Recommend system and hardware upgrades for stability and performance
- Maintain high availability and uptime as per SLA requirements
What We’re Looking For
- A Degree/Diploma in IT or relevant Cisco certifications
- Strong communication skills in English (written & verbal)
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to learn and grow with emerging technologies
- Reliable, well-organised, and proactive mindset
Remuneration
Remuneration will be paid in AUD after probation and will be based upon the applicant’s qualification and level of experience.
