Senior Manager, Knitting (Socks & Tights)
Are you a seasoned expert in textile production looking to lead in a cutting-edge manufacturing environment?
We are a reputed group of companies specializing in exporting socks and tights to global markets, seeking a Senior Manager – Knitting to oversee and drive our knitting operations at our modern facility in Makumbura, Pannipitiya.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all knitting operations to ensure smooth and efficient production.
- Develop and implement production plans to meet delivery timelines.
- Enforce quality assurance systems for defect-free output.
- Supervise and train knitting operators, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure optimal machine uptime.
- Identify and implement cost-saving and process improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with the inventory team to manage material flow efficiently.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and compliance standards.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- Age: Above 40 years
- Experience: 10–15 years in knitting/textile production, preferably in socks/tights manufacturing
- Education: Degree/Diploma in Textile or Industrial Engineering preferred. Exceptional candidates with A/L qualifications will also be considered.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of modern socks knitting machinery and production technologies
- Leadership: Strong track record in managing large teams with a hands-on approach
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot production issues efficiently
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Organizational Skills: Capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
