Job Description

Job Role:

  • Assist in basic food preparation such as chopping, peeling, mixing, and assembling ingredients.
  • Follow recipes and instructions provided by the CDP or kitchen supervisor.
  • Set up workstations with required ingredients and equipment before each shift.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area, utensils, and equipment.
  • Label and store ingredients correctly in line with food safety guidelines.
  • Participate in routine cleaning and end-of-day kitchen closing tasks.
  • Be open to learning across different kitchen sections (hot, pastry, cold, etc.).
  • Any other tasks as requested by the Management.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Anyone passionate about Sri Lanka.
  • Culinary or NVQ qualification is an advantage but not essential.
  • 0–2 years of experience in a professional kitchen or food production setup.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of basic food hygiene and handling practices.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Should be able to work from our bakery located in Colombo 02.
