Job Description
Job Role:
- Assist in basic food preparation such as chopping, peeling, mixing, and assembling ingredients.
- Follow recipes and instructions provided by the CDP or kitchen supervisor.
- Set up workstations with required ingredients and equipment before each shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area, utensils, and equipment.
- Label and store ingredients correctly in line with food safety guidelines.
- Participate in routine cleaning and end-of-day kitchen closing tasks.
- Be open to learning across different kitchen sections (hot, pastry, cold, etc.).
- Any other tasks as requested by the Management.
Candidate Requirements:
- Anyone passionate about Sri Lanka.
- Culinary or NVQ qualification is an advantage but not essential.
- 0–2 years of experience in a professional kitchen or food production setup.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of basic food hygiene and handling practices.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Should be able to work from our bakery located in Colombo 02.
