What you need to have:
- 3+ years of experience as an EDI Analyst or Engineer in a supply chain or retail environment.
- Strong knowledge of EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT) and common documents (850, 810, 856, 940, 945).
- Proficient with EDI tools such as IBM Sterling, Cleo, SPS Commerce, or similar.
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with flat files, XML/JSON, and transformation logic.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in the apparel, wholesale, or logistics industry.
- Scripting or coding knowledge (e.g., Python, SQL) to enhance automation.
- Exposure to APIs, AS2/FTP/SFTP protocols, and cloud-based EDI integration platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- EDI Integration & Support:
- Design, develop, and implement EDI transactions using standards such as X12, EDIFACT, and XML.
- Configure and maintain maps and workflows for inbound and outbound EDI documents (e.g., 850, 810, 856, 997).
- Set up trading partner profiles and coordinate end-to-end testing and certification.
- Monitor daily EDI transmissions and address errors, failed transactions, or partner rejections promptly.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Engagement:
- Work closely with Customer Service, Sales, Logistics, Finance, and IT to align EDI solutions with business requirements.
- Act as the primary technical contact for EDI with Komar’s retail and logistics partners.
- Liaise with external VANs, middleware vendors, and ERP teams to manage EDI infrastructure.
- Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate EDI mapping documentation and trading partner guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
- Support audits and traceability requirements for EDI-related transactions.
