Maintenance Engineer
Ranmo Plastics is a leading Plastic manufacturing company Incorporated in 2004 in Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. We are an ISO 9001:2015 certified organization. “Ranmo Plastics” is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to oversee and manage the maintenance activities of machineries and facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure machine efficiency, minimizing downtime, and maximizing productivity.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment.
- Inspect and maintain equipment to prevent future failures and breakdowns.
- Quickly respond to machinery breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Supervise & carry out the installation of new equipment or machinery parts.
- Documentation of equipment performance metrics, downtime, and any incidents for future reference.
- Manage engineering inventory to ensure the availability of critical Spare Parts.
- Training operators and other maintenance staff on best practices and equipment usage.
- Work closely with production and quality control teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers when necessary.
Qualification
- Candidate should qualify with BSc/B. Tech Engineering Degree mechanical/Electrical or NDT, NDES, HNDE in Mechanical/Electrical or any other equivalent qualification.
- 2+ years of experience in a maintenance role, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems including hydraulics, PLCs, and motor controls.
- Knowledge of Auto Cad and Solid works will be an added advantage.
- Ability to communicate effectively with teams, operators, and other departments.
- Excellent communication skills in spoken & written English.
- Age in below 35 years.
