Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Officer with a strong background in building construction to oversee site-level operations, coordinate with contractors and suppliers, and ensure quality and timelines are maintained on all fronts.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day construction site activities and ensure adherence to approved plans and BOQs.
- Liaise with engineers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers for seamless execution.
- Monitor materials usage and ensure cost-efficiency and minimum wastage.
- Maintain site documentation, daily progress reports, and ensure proper record-keeping.
- Conduct quality inspections and ensure standards and safety procedures are followed.
- Coordinate with project managers for work schedules and resolve technical issues on-site.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or NVQ Level 5 or higher in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in residential/commercial building projects.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, methods, and site execution.
- Ability to manage site labor, solve on-ground challenges, and report efficiently.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic understanding of project documentation.
- Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
