Pattern Drafting – Create accurate base and production patterns manually or using CAD software.
Fit Analysis & Adjustments – Conduct fittings and modify patterns to achieve correct garment fit and style.
Grading – Convert base patterns into a range of sizes while maintaining fit consistency.
Technical Knowledge – Deep understanding of garment construction, fabric behavior, and measurement specs.
Collaboration & Communication – Work closely with designers, merchandisers, and sample makers to meet production goals.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Diploma or Degree in Fashion Design / Pattern Making – Degree or diploma in Fashion or Pattern Making with specialized training in garment construction.
3–5 Years of Industry Experience – Proven expertise in pattern development for ladies’ fashion garments, with hands-on exposure to sampling and bulk production environments.
Proficiency in CAD Software – Skilled in using CAD tools such as Tuka & Optitex, with the ability to accurately digitize, grade, and modify patterns for production.
Strong Knowledge of Garment Construction & Fit – Strong understanding of fabric behavior, seam allowances, and finishing methods, with the ability to lead fit sessions and apply precise technical adjustments.
