Your prime function will be

  • Should be a professional with proven skills, effective communication skills, team spirit, and analytical thinking and thrive towards manufacturing excellence and quality. Junior Industrial Engineer will be responsible for productivity improvements focusing on continuous improvements in the EMS environment while effective process & workforce management.
  • Perform method studies and time studies to implement manufacturing methods or enhance existing methods to reduce operation costs and increase the throughput of any manufacturing line(s).

You will be responsible for

  • Conduct work studies and maintain standard recordings in order to maintain SMV accuracy and enhance efficiency.
  • Analyse results of work studies and create summary reports to present them to superior.
  • Identify the improvements in operational processes, procedures and equipment and provide engineering solutions for continual improvements.
  • Provide necessary support and guidance to the team members.
  • Highlight the necessary training requirements for the operators to leverage the daily manufacturing activities.
  • Develop and implement cost-reduction methods by eliminating wastes in manufacturing processes.
  • Innovatively design, develop, implement & improve automated production systems & introduce automated solutions to current processes.

Qualifications needed for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial/mechanical/manufacturing engineering or Higher National Diploma (NDT, NDES or HNDE) in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Certificate or upper-level course in Lean Manufacturing Principles and Waste Reduction.
  • Proficiency in English Language.
  • Excellent communication & convincing skills.

Counted as advantage

  • More than one-year previous experience in the manufacturing services industry as an engineer.
