ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage day-to-day administrative tasks including cheque processing, and handling bank deposits and withdrawals.
  • Collect, verify, and submit official documents to internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and regulatory authorities.
  • Coordinate the submission and retrieval of tender and bid documents from government institutions.
  • Maintain accurate logs of all incoming and outgoing documents in both digital and physical formats for efficient tracking and retrieval.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with key personnel in government offices.
  • Support the Legal Division by delivering and managing court-related documents.
  • Ensure the collection of required approvals, signatures, and seals from company secretaries and other authorised personnel.
  • Handle confidential information with integrity and discretion at all times.
  • Understand and adhere to data protection, compliance, and confidentiality standards.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing Sinhala is mandatory; basic English literacy is an added advantage.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum G.C.E. O/L or A/L qualification.
  • Basic computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • A Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration or a related field will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Good knowledge of procedures and operations in government offices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with a demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information.
  • Possession of a valid motorcycle license is required; ability to operate other vehicles is an added benefit.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for the collection and submission of documents.
  • Experience working in legal, financial, or government sectors will be a strong asset.
