Physiotherapist

As a Physiotherapist, you will play a pivotal role in improving the quality of life for children with different abilities. You will work alongside a team of dedicated therapists and work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide multi-sensory and holistic care as well as innovative therapies at our Centre for Children with Cerebral Palsy and other Development Disorders located in Rajagiriya.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert physiotherapy services to children with different abilities.
  • Develop, monitor and review individualized programmes along with the Multi-Disciplinary Team.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and medical staff and the special education teachers.
  • Stay up to date with the latest research and best practices in pediatric physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
  • Educate parents and caregivers on home-based programs and strategies to support the child’s development.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of therapy sessions and progress.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall development of the therapy services.

Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy
  • SLMC & SLSP registrations as a physiotherapist
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in pediatric physiotherapy.
  • Dedication to staying current with best evidence-based practices in pediatric rehabilitation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Passion for enhancing the quality of life for children with special needs
  • Tamil Language skill would be an added advantage
