Lead Quality Assurance Engineer
Atlas Global BPO is a well-reputed company registered and operating under the Colombo Port City Commission. We are on the lookout for passionate and driven professionals to join one of our client team.
Responsibilities
- Architect and refine end-to-end testing processes (functional, exploratory, regression, UAT)
- Develop and maintain hierarchical test plans and checklists in Testpad.
- Run and document manual test cases in Testpad against functional requirements; log defects with clear reproduction steps in Jira.
- Guide the team in executing manual and exploratory tests across web, mobile, and API endpoints, verify defect reproduction steps, and log detailed issues in Jira.
- Establish and monitor key metrics, generate stakeholder-ready dashboards in Testpad and Jira.
- Coach and mentor junior QA engineers and guest testers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and operations to clarify requirements and validate fixes through Jira workflows.
- Lead retrospectives focused on QA process enhancements, eliminate non-value-add activities, and introduce low-code or automation tooling where it accelerates quality without compromising thoroughness.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 5+ years in QA with at least 3 years in a lead or senior role directing test efforts.
- Deep proficiency in manual and exploratory testing methodologies; strong analytical skills for uncovering edge-case defects.
- Proven track record using Testpad for test-case management and Jira for defect tracking
- Exceptional people-management skills
- Solid understanding of Agile testing practices, continuous testing, and iterative feedback loops.
- Ability to identify critical issues early, assess impact, and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
