Purpose of The Role
The Assistant Manager – Member Relations & Engagement will be responsible for leading the Membership Division of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM), the country’s largest and most influential network of marketing professionals
Key Responsibilities / Key Job Roles
- Drive and achieve annual membership targets in line with divisional objectives.
- Manage end-to-end membership lifecycle including acquisition, renewals, retention, and engagement initiatives.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute member-focused programs such as Experience Sharing Sessions (ESFs), quizzes, and entertainment events.
- Oversee delivery of member publications, including the Sri Lankan Marketer Magazine and SLIM Digest, ensuring timely and quality releases.
- Develop and manage member value-added offerings such as club memberships, vendor discounts, professional credentials, and partnerships.
- Act as the primary point of contact for member inquiries, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining a zero-complaint culture.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in customer relations, client servicing, membership management, or a related people-facing role.
- Proven experience in coordinating events, engagement initiatives, or relationship-driven programs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently with professionals and corporate stakeholders.
