MANAGER- FINANCE
THE MANAGER – FINANCE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MANAGING THE COMPANY’S FINANCIAL OPERATIONS, ENSURING ACCURATE FINANCIAL REPORTING, REGULATORY COMPLIANCE, AND EFFECTIVE FINANCIAL CONTROLS. THE ROLE SUPPORTS STRATEGIC DECISION-MAKING, MAINTAINS FINANCIAL DISCIPLINE, AND ENSURES COMPLIANCE WITH IRCSL REGULATIONS AND SRI LANKA ACCOUNTING STANDARDS.
Responsibilities:-
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with SLFRS and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure timely submission of statutory and regulatory returns to IRCSL and other relevant authorities.
- Manage premium accounting, claims payments, reinsurance accounting, and commission settlements.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors and coordinate audit activities.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide insights to senior management.
- Lead and supervise the finance team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and professional development.
Qualifications:-
- Professional qualification in Accounting or Finance (ICASL / CIMA / ACCA or equivalent).
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in the insurance or financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of general insurance accounting and regulatory requirements in Sri Lanka.
- Advanced MS Excel, ERP system knowledge and strong analytical skills.
