MANAGER (HR BUSINESS PARTNERING) (Day Shift)
We are seeking a results-driven HR professional to serve as the primary HR Business Partner for shift-based operations, collaborating closely with leaders and employees to drive people strategy, elevate employee experience, and strengthen organizational effectiveness. This role will lead HR engagement with the business, focusing on stakeholder alignment, employee relations, and strategic people initiatives, while partnering closely with the HR Operations team, who oversee transactional and operational HR activities.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a trusted HR advisor to business leaders, aligning people strategy with operational priorities.
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and managers during assigned shifts (day/night), ensuring strong HR visibility and accessibility.
- Lead and manage employee relations matters, including grievances and conflict resolution.
- Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives tailored to a shift-based workforce.
- Partner with managers on performance management, coaching, and team effectiveness.
- Provide insights through HR analytics (e.g., attrition, engagement) to support decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with HR Operations Managers (Day Shift), who oversee day-to-day HR service delivery and transactional processes.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; CIPM certification is an added advantage.
- 5-8 years of progressive HR experience, with strong exposure to HR Business Partnering and/or Employee Relations.
- Experience in BPO, IT, shared services, or 24/7 operational environments is highly preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Solid knowledge of Sri Lankan labor laws and regulatory requirements.
- Flexibility to operate independently in a day shift role according to standard US hours and calendar.
