Vacancy Announcement – Post of IT Specialist I (01 Position)
The Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development has commenced the implementation of the Trade National Single Window System, as a national priority project to facilitate international trade flows by bringing all regulatory measures and agencies into an interconnected platform enabling single entry point to submit all the documents required by traders, who involve in border trade (Imports, Exports and Transshipments), and to provide results automatically through the same platform. Accordingly, the applications are hereby accepted from the most eligible candidates to fill the post of IT Specialist I of the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) established under the Trade National Single Window System Project.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or Software Engineering or a relevant field obtained from any institution, recognized by the University Grants Commission; or A qualification recognized by the University Grants Commission as an equivalent qualification to the Degree in the relevant field;
- Master's Degree in the relevant field obtained from any institution, recognized by the University Grants Commission is preferred; and
- Minimum 09 years of experience related to large-scale ICT systems, out of which at least 04 years of experience should be in Managerial Level.
Common Conditions
- Age should be less than 55 years as of 24.05.2026.
- Candidates will be recruited for a period of 15 months on Contract Basis (Full time) subject to renewal of contract on the basis of performance evaluation or as appropriate.
- All required qualifications should be completed on or before 24.05.2026.
- The Secretary to the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development reserves the right on whether or not to fill the vacancies.
- The decision of the Secretary to the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development shall be the final and conclusive in case of any matter not contained herein or any issue arisen during this recruitment process.
- The appointment will be made subject to Salary Level of ‘Category B’ as per the Management Services Circular (MSD) No. 02/2026, dated March 28, 2026.
- Salary and other benefits will be paid as specified in the MSD Circular No. 02/2026 for the Salary Level of ‘Category B’.
