CHIEF BUTLER
We have an exciting opportunity for a Chief Butler to join Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams, part of Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, Sri Lanka’s largest hotel owner with a portfolio of 17 hotels and resorts in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. It is a member of John Keells Holding PLC, one of the largest listed conglomerates in Sri Lanka.
Responsibilities
- Lead the butler team to ensure exceptional, personalised service for all guests, maintaining the highest standards of luxury hospitality.
- Oversee daily guest operations, including arrivals, in-room services, amenities, preferences, and special requests.
- Train, mentor, and guide the butler team to deliver world class service aligned with Cinnamon Life standards.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, front office, food & beverage, and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Maintain detailed guest profiles, preferences, and service logs to ensure consistency and personalised engagement.
- Handle VIP arrivals, private services, in-room dining coordination, and bespoke guest arrangements with utmost discretion.
- Monitor service quality, review guest feedback, and implement continuous improvements to elevate butler operations.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Butler or Senior Butler in hospitality, with exposure to VIP and high profile guest service.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience training and supervising service teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills with a guest centric mindset.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to anticipate guest needs with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple guest requests in a fast paced environment.
