Senior Software Engineer- Support

We are looking for passionate candidates to join the Sri Lankan operations of an Australian-based cutting-edge Technology Company serving both government and private organizations in Australia and New Zealand.

We are seeking motivated, analytical, and customer-focused individuals who are passionate about solving technical problems and delivering high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with both customers and internal teams.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical troubleshooting support for ERP software, including application, integration, mobile, and web solutions
  • Liaise directly with customers to investigate and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Maintain a high level of customer service by delivering clear, accurate, and timely solutions
  • Perform basic to complex code changes and data conversion scripts as per requirements
  • Conduct unit testing and collaborate closely with the QA team to ensure quality deliverables
  • Participate in peer reviews of development and code changes
  • Ensure tasks are completed within estimated timelines and proactively communicate any issues
  • Identify chargeable support activities where applicable
  • Contribute to the FAQ database and internal knowledge base
  • Complete administrative tasks such as timesheets accurately and on time
  • Utilize AI-assisted tools to support troubleshooting, code analysis, and documentation
  • Analyse logs, identify root causes, and assist debugging using AI tools
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve support efficiency through automation and AI

Mandatory Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a software development or technical support environment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio (VB.NET is desirable)
  • Experience with Web API development

Additional Technical Skills

  • Good knowledge of T-SQL and SQL Server
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in React JS with TypeScript
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code

Preferred Experience Requirements

  • Experience working with ERP systems
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, ChatGPT, or similar
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and tools
