ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ACCOUNTANT

You will be responsible for the accurate processing, verification, and control of supplier invoices and payments, ensuring strong financial discipline, compliance, and the timely settlement of obligations. In this fast-paced manufacturing environment, your role is essential to maintaining the trust of our global supply chain and ensuring an accurate picture of our local financial commitments
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process and verify supplier invoices against GRNs, PO's, and contract.
- Ensure 3-way matching (PO-GRN-Invoice) before posting.
- Maintain accurate AP ledger and supplier balances.
- Prepare and execute payment runs in line with credit terms.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Monitor aging reports and ensure no overdue liabilities.
- Track advances, deposits, and prepayments against suppliers.
- Ensure proper VAT/SVAT treatment and documentation compliance.
- Coordinate with procurement, stores, and finance for issue resolution.
- Support audits with complete and traceable documentation.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2–5 years experience in Accounts Payable or Finance (preferably apparel/manufacturing).
- Strong understanding of invoice matching, GRN flows, and supplier reconciliation.
- Familiar with VAT/SVAT handling in Sri Lanka.
- High attention to detail and process discipline.
- Proficient in ERP systems and Excel.
- Ability to handle volume and work under deadlines.
- Strong follow-up and communication skills across departments.
