Junior Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to build a long-term career in estimating and quantity surveying within the construction industry.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager in Melbourne, the successful candidate will work closely with the senior estimating team to analyse project specifications, prepare accurate cost estimates, and assist in the preparation of quotations for construction projects. Full training and support will be provided, including hands-on experience with estimating software.

Key Responsibilities
- Review project drawings, plans, and specifications to determine material, labour, and equipment requirements.
- Prepare accurate pre-costing and post-costing estimates.
- Utilise estimating software to calculate project costs efficiently and accurately.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of tender packages within required deadlines.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and the estimating team to ensure accurate project pricing.
- Support the overall estimating and tendering process as required.
Requirements
- NCT qualification, Diploma, or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in costing work.
- Must possess strong English communication skills to communicate with clients professionally.
- Experience in housing or building construction will be considered an advantage.
- Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
