Overview of the role

As the Assistant Manager – Fixed Deposits, you will play a key leadership role in managing FD operations, ensuring compliance, and driving deposit growth aligned with the company’s funding strategy.

What you will do

  • Oversee and authorize all Fixed Deposit operations (issuance, renewals, settlements, loans against FD, etc.)
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of all FD transactions
  • Provide operational guidance and system support to branch teams
  • Identify process gaps and implement improvements to enhance efficiency
  • Coordinate internal/external audits and ensure regulatory compliance (CBSL, FIU, IRD)
  • Handle customer queries, complaints, and service excellence initiatives
  • Drive FD growth through client engagement and branch support
  • Conduct client visits and support business development activities
  • Strengthen customer retention through high-quality service standards
  • Align FD mobilization efforts with overall funding strategy

What equips you for the role

  • Degree in Finance, Business Management, or a recognized professional qualification (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in customer service/operations, including 2+ years in Fixed Deposits
  • Strong knowledge of CBSL, FIU, and IRD regulations
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and ethical standards
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and drive results
