HEAD OF FACTORY & OPERATIONS
A well-established leader in Sri Lanka’s building materials industry is seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to lead factory and operational functions across its production facilities. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Factory & Operations will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end factory operations, ensuring efficiency in production, supply chain management, quality standards, and workplace safety. The role requires strong technical expertise and leadership capabilities to drive operational excellence, continuous improvement initiatives, and overall business performance.
Location: Ekala
Employment Type: Full-Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 8.00 AM – 5.00 PM
Saturday: Half Day

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations to consistently achieve production targets and operational excellence.
- Optimize resource utilization and minimize downtime to maximize factory output and efficiency.
- Drive productivity improvements through enhanced capacity planning, asset utilization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Implement cost reduction and waste minimization strategies to improve overall manufacturing and warehouse efficiency.
- Ensure product quality and on-time delivery in line with customer requirements and company standards.
- Execute manufacturing strategies aligned with business goals and growth plans.
- Maintain strict health, safety, and environmental compliance across all factory and warehouse operations.
- Drive technology adoption and process innovation to improve productivity and competitiveness.
- Lead, develop, and manage high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Oversee production planning, warehouse operations, maintenance, quality control, and dispatch processes to ensure smooth and cost-effective operational processes.
REQUIREMENTS
- BSc / MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in a senior manufacturing or factory leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, maintenance systems, engineering processes, and warehouse operations.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S will be an added advantage.
- Proven ability in strategic planning, resource allocation, and performance management.
- Experience in setting up new factories or improving existing operations will be an advantage.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Male candidates preferred.
- Age above 40 years.
