H & S OFFICER
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Site H & S Officer to ensure a safe, compliant, and risk-free working environment at our project site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing safety protocols, conducting inspections, and fostering a strong safety culture among the workforce.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement, and monitor workplace health & safety programs and policies
- Ensure all site operations comply with safety regulations, standards, and procedures
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and awareness training
- Identify potential hazards at site and ensure timely corrective actions
- Inspect tools, machinery, equipment, and work areas regularly for safety compliance
- Maintain safety registers, incident records, reports, and documentation
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases, and recommend preventive measures
- Manage hazardous waste and ensure proper disposal procedures
- Coordinate with project leadership and assist in continuous improvement initiatives
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma / Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or related qualification
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in construction / project site safety (Mandatory)
- Good understanding of workplace safety regulations, standards, and documentation
- Strong communication, observation, and reporting skills
- Ability to enforce safety rules while maintaining positive workforce relations
- Physically fit to conduct site inspections and field duties
- The selected candidate will be required to work at our project site in Maldives.
