Electrical & Automation Engineer – GAMPAHA DISTRICT
Our client is a well-established Company with Processing plants operating 24 hours situated in the Gampaha District, manufacturing a range of FMCG food & beverage products for export & local markets.
An opportunity awaits a result oriented, self-motivated Senior Team player who desires to build a career in a successful Organization.
They are equipped with UHT Sterilizers, Pasteurizers, Homogenizers, and Utility Machinery such as Boilers, Air Compressors, Ice Bank Chillers & Effluent Treatment Plants.
The selected candidates should be an experienced Engineering professional who will ensure undisturbed cost effective functioning of the factories.
A team player with excellent interpersonal skills & ability to communicate effectively with both Senior & subordinate levels in the plant.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Schedule and undertake periodic maintenance on all Electrical/Electronic equipment, components and installations.
- Troubleshoot and rectify electrical, electronics and automation issues collaboratively with Plant Engineers and guide plant technicians in carrying out regular and unplanned maintenance tasks in achieving desired level of plant OEE.
- Design, develop and install PLC based control systems for equipment/machineries.
- Develop user/operator interfaces, process control programs and application codes.
- Maintain and overhaul all electrical equipment and systems to an agreed level of performance in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting of addressable fire alarm systems.
- Understanding of Safety and Health systems.
The ideal candidate should have the following prerequisites;
- BSc. Engineering in Electrical/ Mechatronics Engineering from a recognized University.
- Minimum 5 years' Experience as an Electrical and Automation Engineer in a reputed manufacturing organization.
- Hands on experience on motor controls and drive, communication systems and networking, PLC & HMI - troubleshooting, VFD programming, SCADA systems, Date coding machines, UPS systems and Knowledge on Tetra machines.
- Good knowledge in process related analogue and digital sensors - Proximity sensors, temperature sensors, flow meters, pressure sensors, batch controllers, conductivity sensors, etc.
- Knowledge on manufacturing processes and systems with experience in process automation.
