RELATIONSHIP MANAGER

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and expand new corporate relationships while growing and maintaining the existing client portfolio
  • Build strong client partnerships through regular visits and proactive engagement
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Department and team to achieve strong departmental performance
  • Conduct thorough pre-credit evaluations and ensure effective post-credit monitoring of approved facilities
  • Prepare, develop, and present comprehensive credit proposals for approval
  • Maximize revenue opportunities through strategic cross-selling and up-selling
  • Periodically assess cash flow projections and support ongoing credit risk evaluation
  • Handle impairment identification and related credit monitoring functions
  • Ensure timely recovery of outstanding facilities through effective follow-ups and client management

Candidate Prerequisites:

  • Full qualification in Banking from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL) or a recognized qualification in Credit Management from a reputed institute
  • A Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in a relevant field from a recognized university will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 08–10 years of experience in a commercial bank, including at least 03 years in an executive capacity or above
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Corporate Banking, Credit Operations, and overall Banking Operations
  • Sound understanding of the industry with a strong flair for business development and marketing
  • High proficiency in financial analysis with strong credit risk assessment and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management abilities
