Sales Manager – Automotive
We are a newly established automotive company in Sri Lanka, engaged in importing passenger and commercial vehicles, along with aftercare services. As we introduce a new vehicle brand to the local market, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales operations, drive market penetration, and build a strong customer base.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in brand positioning, revenue growth, and establishing a high-performing sales team in a competitive automotive landscape.
Responsibilities
- Drive the sales team to achieve sales targets and volume objectives.
- Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to deliver high performance and meet KPIs.
- Introduce and position the new vehicle brand effectively within the local market.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and dealer networks.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences, especially in EV and hybrid segments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate and individual customers.
- Oversee the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan promotional campaigns and product launches.
- Ensure excellent customer experience and effective after-sales coordination.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses for management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in automotive sales, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of the Sri Lankan automotive market, experience in passenger and commercial vehicle sales will be an added advantage.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and leading teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment and manage brand-building activities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
