Assistant Manager - After Sales
Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Manager – After Sales to support and coordinate the overall aftersales operations of our exclusive Electric Vehicle (EV) dealership in Sri Lanka. The role will assist in managing workshop operations, spare parts, warranty administration, customer care, and technical support while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and compliance with company and principal standards. The ideal candidate will work closely with overseas principals, local workshops, and internal teams to drive service excellence and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Support and coordinate day-to-day aftersales operations including workshops, spare parts, warranty, customer care, and technical support functions.
- Act as a key liaison for communication and coordination with overseas principals and local workshop teams under the guidance of the Manager – After Sales.
- Provide technical support and facilitate issue resolution through internal expertise and coordination with principals and technical partners.
- Assist in implementing aftersales strategies aligned with company objectives and growth plans.
- Monitor workshop productivity, service quality, turnaround time, and customer satisfaction levels.
- Support budget management, cost control initiatives, and profitability improvement within the aftersales division.
- Coordinate and execute aftersales marketing activities to enhance customer retention and service engagement.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, service standards, warranty processes, and principal requirements.
- Handle customer concerns and support resolution of complaints to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Track and report KPIs and operational performance across aftersales functions.
- Support team leadership activities including coaching, performance monitoring, and staff development.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments to ensure smooth delivery of aftersales services.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in aftersales operations within the automotive industry (EV experience will be an added advantage).
- Degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Sound technical knowledge of automotive aftersales operations and customer service practices.
- Experience in workshop coordination, parts management, warranty handling, and customer care operations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with overseas principals and internal teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
