PROJECT & MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Nestled in the heart of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in Baa Atoll, Vakkaru Maldives is an award-winning luxury resort known for its timeless beauty, unparalleled service, and exclusive experiences. As we expand our operations and elevate our offerings, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team and oversee structure and development projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Implement policies and procedures for life safety, fire prevention, physical security, and environmental programmes.
- Manage effective preventive and routine maintenance programmes across the resort.
- Participate in reviewing and recommending the annual engineering maintenance budget and project plans.
- Create, modify, and develop conceptual, detailed, and 3D drawings for new projects.
- Define project objectives, scope, roles, responsibilities, and resource requirements.
- Prepare detailed project plans, schedule milestones, and track project status with regular reporting to management.
- Manage relationships and communication with contractors, ensuring projects are delivered to satisfaction.
- Develop clear accountability for maintenance material spend and manage expenditure strategically.
- Perform risk management analysis and coordinate with internal and external parties for flawless project execution.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies for staff and visitor wellbeing.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and assess project efficacy upon completion.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree or Diploma in Project Management or related field.
- Proficiency in project management software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rendering software, MS Project).
- Strong leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Extensive experience in construction project management. Experience in luxury resorts will be beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of contracts, drawings, and construction methods.
