The National Credit Guarantee Institution Limited (NCGIL) is a Public Private Partnership established between the Government of Sri Lanka and 13 leading Shareholder Financial Institutions (SFIs) to support the country's Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) sector. The NCGIL provides credit guarantees to SFIs and promotes cashflow based lending for viable MSMEs which will foster economic growth and prosperity.
We are seeking individuals who are committed, possess strong communication skills with a sound knowledge of the MSME ecosystem, attention to detail, and can work effectively as part of the team.

Key Qualifications, Experience and Responsibilities:
Head of Risk Management / Chief Risk Officer
A strategic leadership role responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and monitoring risk management policies, procedures, and objectives. The role oversees the review of guarantee portfolio operations of NCGI, ensuring the optimization of investment portfolio risk and profitability while effectively managing risk across the organization's overall operations.
* A position based on a 3-year contract with renewal based on performance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Science or related field.
- Or Professional qualification in CA, CIMA, ACCA, CMA, DBF or an equivalent.
- Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Science or related field is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in the banking or financial sector, with exposure to SME lending and hands-on experience in credit risk management, including the knowledge and application of traditional credit risk management principles and practices.
- Age preferably 40 – 57 years.
The work location for this position will be in Colombo.
