Join Our Team as a Finance Manager
At Coop Life Insurance, we are committed to delivering trusted insurance solutions while maintaining strong financial governance and operational excellence. We are seeking a dynamic, result-oriented, and experienced professional to join our Finance Division as a Finance Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations of the Company
- Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and regulatory submissions
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
- Develop and implement long-term financial strategies aligned with company objectives
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
- Monitor and manage company cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements
- Conduct financial analysis and provide strategic insights to support decision-making
- Coordinate with auditors, regulatory authorities, banks, and other external stakeholders
- Strengthen internal controls, financial systems, and risk management practices
- Liaise with the Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (IRCSL), Actuary, Company Secretary, External Auditors, and Internal Audit Department on finance-related matters
- Drive cost optimization initiatives and improve operational efficiencies
- Collaborate with departmental heads in preparing and monitoring budgets
- Supervise, mentor, and develop finance team members to achieve departmental objectives
- Support the CEO and senior management by providing accurate financial information and recommendations
- Oversee investment-related activities and capital management functions
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field from a recognized university
- Professional qualification such as CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial position within the finance sector
- Experience in the insurance industry will be a distinct advantage
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively
