South Asia Gateway Terminals (SAGT) is a globally recognized, award winning, public private partnership container terminal in Sri Lanka, which commenced operations in 1999, launching the Port of Colombo as global trade's pre-eminent gateway hub to South Asia. Today, the terminal is one of the five operators in the Port of Colombo and continues to offer the international container shipping community, a competitive best in class service as a Global Container Terminal.

EXECUTIVE / JUNIOR HR EXECUTIVE – TALENT ACQUISITION

We are seeking a dynamic and self-driven individual specialized in Recruitment & Selection and Talent Acquisition to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess a passion for identifying and attracting talent and a deep understanding of recruitment best practices.

Main responsibilities of the job include;

  • Talent Acquisition:
    • Assist development and implementation of effective recruitment strategies to attract talent.
    • Source, screen and shortlist candidates through various channels. (Ex: affiliations with universities and other academic bodies, vocational training institutes, social media, networking etc.)
    • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for current and future staffing needs.
  • Recruitment & Selection:
    • Conduct interviews and assess potential candidates to ensure a perfect fit for the company culture and job requirements.
    • Coordinate and manage the recruitment process from start to finish, including job postings, interview scheduling, and feedback collection.
    • Collaborate with departments to understand their hiring needs and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Employer Branding:
    • Enhance and promote the company's employer brand in appropriate forums and platforms to attract suitable candidates.
    • Participate in job fairs, campus recruitment and other recruitment events.
  • Onboarding:
    • Assist in the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Reporting & Analytics:
    • Monitor recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-hire, cost-per-hire) and provide regular updates to Management.
    • Continuously improve recruitment processes through data analysis and feedback.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A Degree in Human Resource Management and/or equivalent qualifications.
  • Minimum 03 years of work experience in Human Resources in a reputed organization.
  • Proven experience in recruitment and talent acquisition.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in HR software and recruitment tools.
