INTERN - CSR
Recognized globally as the world's first Climate Positive tea company, Bogawantalawa Tea Estates PLC is a sustainability-driven plantation enterprise renowned for producing some of the world's finest Ceylon teas. We are currently looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, and sustainability-oriented Intern – CSR to join our Corporate Sustainability team at our Colombo Head Office.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are passionate about sustainability, ESG initiatives, community development, and responsible business practices, and who are eager to gain hands-on exposure within a leading sustainability-focused corporate environment.
POSITION OVERVIEW
- Passionate about supporting and contributing to ongoing CSR and sustainability initiatives of the Company.
- Assisting in data collection, analysis, monitoring, and preparation of sustainability and CSR-related reports.
- Supporting the implementation of CSR projects and maintaining CSR databases, documentation, and tracking systems.
- Actively contributing to project coordination, field activities, and sustainability engagement programs.
- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective implementation of CSR and sustainability initiatives.
- Assisting in sustainability communication, awareness programs, and community engagement activities.
- Supporting the Sustainability Team in achieving organizational ESG and social responsibility objectives.
APPLICANT PROFILE
- Strong interest in community development, sustainability, ESG initiatives, and social responsibility-related activities.
- Passionate about CSR implementation, sustainability projects, stakeholder engagement, and creating positive social and environmental impact.
- Prior exposure or experience in CSR, sustainability, community projects, volunteering activities, or related fields will be considered an added advantage.
- Energetic, self-motivated, and proactive individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Sound computer literacy, including MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and basic reporting/documentation skills.
- A good team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic corporate environment.
- Willingness to travel to outstation locations and estate operations for project implementation, monitoring, and community engagement activities.
