Australian Accountant
Join our dynamic Finance Team as an Accountant for Australia gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, professional environment. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports for Australian Businesses.
- Manage bookkeeping and month-end/year-end accounting processes.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and Australian Taxation Office (ATO) regulations.
- Handle Australian taxation compliance, including Individual Tax Return, Business Activity Statement (BAS), Company, Trust, Partnership, and SMSF Tax Returns.
- Support audit engagements by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Assist clients with company, trust, partnership, and SMSF structure setup and registrations.
- Assist clients with tax planning, tax minimization strategies, and compliance matters.
- Prepare management reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
- Provide ongoing advisory support to clients on accounting, taxation, and business compliance matters.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Part qualification in Accounting (AAT / CA Sri Lanka / CIMA / CPA or equivalent)
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Australian accounting and taxation (or as required).
- Strong knowledge of Australian taxation laws, including ITR, BAS, IAS, GST, FBT, Company, Trust, Partnership, and SMSF compliance.
- Familiarity with accounting software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Tally, or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office application.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
