Job Summary

The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, maintaining kitchen efficiency, and leading the culinary team to deliver outstanding dining experiences. This role involves menu development, cost control, staff management, and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Culinary Leadership
    • Design, develop, and update menus in line with brand standards and market trends
    • Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and taste of all dishes
    • Oversee food preparation and production across all kitchen sections
  • Kitchen Operations Management
    • Supervise daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and smooth workflow
    • Monitor food portioning, waste control, and stock management
    • Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure proper usage
  • Financial Management
    • Control food costs and labor costs within budget
    • Manage inventory, purchasing, and supplier negotiations
    • Analyze sales data and adjust menus to maximize profitability
  • Team Leadership & Training
    • Foster a positive, disciplined, and professional kitchen culture
  • Food Safety & Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
    • Implement and monitor HACCP procedures
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas
  • Guest Experience & Innovation
    • Collaborate with management on special events and promotions
    • Respond to guest feedback regarding food quality
    • Introduce new culinary techniques and trends

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food cost control and kitchen management systems
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Creativity and passion for culinary excellence
