Quantity Surveyor
We are a Public Listed Company engaged in Telecommunication, Electrical, Water & Civil Engineering Projects in Sri Lanka, for well over four decades. We require an energetic Quantity Surveyor for our Civil/Water Construction projects operated island wide. Those who are willing to travel any part of Sri Lanka are encouraged to apply.
Job profile
- Preparation of cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documents.
- Monitor project progress and prepare sub-contractors bills.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers and clients for material and cost clarifications.
- Ensure the tender documents and bill of quantities are meticulously prepared and submitted by coordinating with the QS team to maintain our competitive edge in the market.
- Conduct pre-costing and post costing analysis to ensure project profitability.
- Contractual letter writings/Maintain contemporary records.
Educational Qualifications
- BSc Degree from Government University or UGC approved University
- HND in QS
Work experience
- For BSc graduates from Local university 1 year experience in Water/Building construction projects
- For HND 5+ years in Water/Building construction projects.
- Knowledge & Experience in SBD/FIDIC will be an added advantage
Skills & competencies
- Knowledge of Sri Lankan construction industry standards and practices.
- Knowledge in supervising work progress measurements, review draft IPAs, variation submissions, rate breakdowns, cost proposal etc. and ensuring timely submission of payment applications, thereby finalizing the costs to be collected from the client.
- Strong numerical and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Language preferred
- Fluency in Sinhala
- Proficiency in English
