Executive - Finance
Walkers Tours is a premiere Destination Management Company owned by Sri Lanka’s largest conglomerate John Keells Holdings PLC with five decades of experience in the FIT, GIT and MICE segments along with a large portfolio of Tour Operators spread globally. We invite applications from suitably qualified individuals for the post of Executive - Finance. The selected candidate will report to the Manager Finance and will be based at the Corporate Office.
Executive - Finance will be responsible for:
- Process all Tour advance settlements and expense sheet settlements
- Validate all supporting bills are in order and ensure necessary approvals have been obtained
- Make sure all VAT bills are segregated and handed over to Finance daily
- Handling file reopening/cost write back /direct posting
- Liaise with guides to ensure settlement completion timely
- Collect shopping vouchers from the guides and share with the technical visit team
- Liaise with Internal & External auditors to ensure zero non-compliance issues in the processes
- Assist other accounts payable requirements
The ideal candidate should possess:
- At least 2-years' experience in a similar role together with a Degree in Finance or a part qualification in AAT / CIMA / CA
- Knowledge in accounting standards
- Fluency in SAP systems & MS Office
- Experience in the Tourism Industry would be an additional advantage
