Scope of the Role

This role will support electrical maintenance activities to ensure high plant availability, reliability, and performance (MTBF targets) across production, packing plant, logistics, and utility systems. The role also requires the timely execution of corrective and preventive maintenance, adherence to safety standards, and close coordination with operations teams to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.

Responsibilities
n
n- Execute electrical and instrumentation maintenance tasks in accordance with approved work orders, maintenance schedules, and standard operating procedures, ensuring all jobs are completed within the allocated timeframe and required quality standards.
n- Perform both preventive and corrective maintenance activities on plant equipment, including production lines, packing plant systems, utility services, and logistics-related electrical systems, to ensure continuous and efficient operations.
n- Diagnose faults in electrical systems using appropriate tools and techniques, carry out troubleshooting and root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions to prevent recurrence of issues.
n- Ensure high plant equipment availability (target ≥95%) by minimizing downtime through timely repairs, proactive maintenance, and close monitoring of system performance.
n- Respond promptly and effectively to planned and emergency breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and achieving quick restoration of equipment functionality.
n- Conduct routine inspections of electrical panels, motor systems, instrumentation, and other plant equipment to identify potential risks, defects, or inefficiencies, and take corrective action where required.
n- Plan and prepare maintenance jobs in advance by obtaining necessary permits, isolation clearances, tools, spare parts, and safety approvals, ensuring safe and efficient execution of tasks.
n- Actively participate in daily meetings, coordination discussions, and safety briefings, maintaining clear communication with supervisors, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
n- Accurately record maintenance activities, complete work orders, and provide detailed feedback on completed tasks to support reporting, tracking, and continuous improvement.

Requirements
n
n- A recognized technical qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (e.g., ATI, German Tech or equivalent).
n- Previous experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment will be an added advantage.
n- Solid understanding of electrical systems, installations, and maintenance practices.
n- Basic knowledge of PLC, VFD/VSD systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics is desirable.
n- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
n- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
n- Familiarity with maintenance systems (e.g., SAP/MAC) will be a plus.
n- Ability to prioritize work, perform under pressure, and meet deadlines.
n- Good communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented approach.
