Assistant Manager – Maintenance
Job Summary:
The selected candidate will be responsible for leading maintenance operations across Alumex PLC manufacturing facilities while ensuring maximum equipment reliability, operational continuity, and plant efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities across manufacturing facilities.
- Develop and execute planned maintenance schedules (PM) to improve equipment availability and minimize downtime.
- Ensure effective maintenance and continuous improvement of production machinery, utility equipment, and plant infrastructure.
- Drive maintenance excellence initiatives including breakdown reduction, root cause analysis, and reliability improvement programs.
- Plan and manage maintenance shutdown activities while ensuring timely completion.
- Support plant expansion, engineering projects, machinery installation, and process improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with production and cross-functional teams to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
- Monitor maintenance KPIs, control maintenance budgets, and optimize spare parts inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards across all maintenance activities.
- Carry out any other responsibilities assigned relating to plant and equipment maintenance management.
The Ideal Candidate Should Possess
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Proven experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
- Strong technical knowledge in mechanical systems, utilities, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, rotating equipment, and industrial machinery.
- Experience in preventive maintenance planning, TPM practices, and reliability improvement initiatives.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage operations across multiple manufacturing facilities.
