MECHANICAL ENGINEER

We invite an enthusiastic graduate in mechanical engineering with experience in maintenance in a large-scale manufacturing entity to join Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC as the Mechanical Engineer.
The Role
- The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for efficient running of equipment & machinery and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. The scope will also extend to designing and implementing cost-effective modifications to equipment leading to enhanced reliability, productivity and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute scheduled maintenance.
- Carry out emergency repairs and restoration during breakdowns.
- Introduce automation to production lines as relevant.
- Relocate and install plant & equipment as and when necessary.
- Design and estimate capital works.
- Carry out facility maintenance (plumbing, carpentry and civil works) in coordination with outsourced services where necessary.
- Motivate and lead the technical staff ensuring efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc Engineering specialized in Mechanical Engineering
- Qualification in Auto CAD 2D and 3D
- Over 3 years of experience in maintenance work in a large-scale manufacturing entity.
- Experience in automation projects is an advantage.
