JOB TITLE
OPERATIONS ENGINEER
Location: AVISSAWELLA ROAD, AMBATLE (COLOMBO DISTRICT)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality, and delivery targets.
- Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Coordinate production, maintenance, quality, and logistics activities.
- Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions as required.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Lead workforce management and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare operational reports and provide recommendations to enhance business performance.
PRE-REQUISITES
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- 4-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in laser cutting, press brake operations, welding, and powder coating.
- Expertise in BOM preparation and product costing.
- Knowledge of maintenance planning and TPM principles.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
