Reservations Officer

Vella Adventures (Pty) Ltd, a world-renowned adventure park located in the iconic destination of Ella, Sri Lanka, is seeking a motivated and dynamic Reservations Officer to join the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handle all guest reservations via phone, email, online platforms and walk-ins.
  • Accurately enter, update and manage bookings using the reservation system.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries regarding availability, pricing, activities and policies.
  • Coordinate with Front Office, Operations and Activity teams to ensure reservation accuracy and availability.
  • Process payments, confirmations, amendments and cancellations as per company procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date reservation records and prepare daily reservation reports.
  • Support upselling of activities and packages to maximize revenue.
  • Ensure all reservations comply with operational capacity, safety guidelines and company standards.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Age Between 25 and 35 years (Both male and female candidates are welcome to apply).
  • Degree or Higher Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, Customer Service, Business Administration, or a relevant/equivalent qualification.
  • 2–3 years of experience in reservations, front office, or booking coordination, preferably in the hospitality or tourism industry.
  • Strong knowledge of reservation handling, booking confirmations, amendments, cancellations and availability management.
  • Experience managing online booking platforms, email reservations, and phone inquiries.
  • Ability to manage peak-period bookings while maintaining accuracy and service quality.
  • Proficient in MS Office Package.
  • Ability to prepare daily reservation reports, summaries, and basic data analysis using Excel.
  • Good command of English and Sinhala; Tamil or other languages will be an added advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, multitasking ability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused, well-organized, proactive and able to work in a calm under a busy environment.
