Overview Of The Role

The Assistant Manager – Workshop parts operation will be responsible for ensuring continuous availability of parts across Suzuki and Nissan aftersales operations. The role focuses on forecasting demand, managing inventory, and coordinating with internal teams and suppliers for smooth supply. It supports workshop efficiency, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth through effective parts planning and control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage monthly parts demand forecasts across Mechanical, Lubrication, and Accident Repair operations
  • Coordinate with the Parts Distribution Centre (PDC) and principals for timely ordering and replenishment
  • Monitor workshop stock levels and ensure availability of critical and fast-moving parts
  • Track special order and warranty parts, including ETA follow-ups
  • Analyze lost sales and implement corrective actions to improve forecasting accuracy
  • Maintain accurate SAP transactions and inventory records
  • Prepare management reports on stock availability, forecast performance, and supply issues
  • Liaise with workshop teams and support continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in Automobile Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Management (Automotive preferred)
  • 4–6 years' experience in automotive parts operations, inventory management, or aftersales
  • Experience in workshop operations and parts planning is an advantage
  • Hands-on experience with SAP/ERP systems
  • Strong analytical and forecasting skills
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel and reporting tools
