Job Details
Location - Colombo 3, Sri Lanka. | Customer - Tesco.
Job Role
- Manage price negotiations with suppliers and customers, ensuring all pricing aligns with agreed T&A timelines and commercial objectives.
- Coordinate factory capacity reservations, follow up on booking sheets after price finalisation, and ensure smooth handovers with the NL bulk team.
- Prepare and manage costing requirements, including initial costing packs, consumption details, and ongoing costing adjustments when necessary.
- Oversee the full development process by following up development calendars with buying and PD teams, ensuring all submissions and approvals are completed on time.
- Source fabrics and trims, support cross-development requirements, and ensure raw materials used for sampling are accurately captured.
- Attend sample room and factory handovers, update and share sample trackers with UK and PD teams, and ensure all sample deadlines are met.
- Participate in development-to-bulk handovers, ensuring seamless communication and readiness for bulk production stages.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in merchandising, including strong exposure to sampling, costing, and capacity management (SAH).
- Good knowledge of fabrics, trims, lead times, and sourcing.
- Degree or professional qualification in Marketing or Merchandising.
- Strong planning, negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with experience working across cross-functional teams.
- ERP system experience is an added advantage.
