MANAGER – PROCUREMENT
The Manager – Procurement is expected to take ownership of sourcing and procurement for packing materials across our export tea operations, ensuring consistent supply, quality, and strong commercial discipline. The role requires the ability to translate market insights into practical sourcing strategies, actively manage supplier performance, and drive cost efficiency without compromising reliability, while continuously strengthening supplier partnerships and improving procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end procurement of packing materials, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely availability.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies that deliver sustainable cost savings and build strong, long-term supplier partnerships.
- Drive commercial negotiations, supplier evaluations, and performance management.
- Monitor market trends, pricing movements, and supply risks to support proactive decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including production, finance, QA, planning, and marketing.
- Deliver clear reporting, spend analytics, and market intelligence to support management decisions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Management, or a related field, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain, with at least 3 years in a similar capacity.
- Proven track record of delivering cost savings, managing supplier performance, and driving procurement outcomes.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
