AUTOMOTIVE SEATING SYSTEMS
WE ARE A LEADING AUTOMOTIVE SEAT MANUFACTURING COMPANY SPECIALIZING IN HIGH-QUALITY SEATING SYSTEMS FOR GLOBAL OEMS. AS PART OF OUR CONTINUED GROWTH, WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED AND DYNAMIC HEAD OF QUALITY TO OVERSEE AND DRIVE OUR QUALITY FUNCTION ACROSS THE ENTIRE VALUE CHAIN.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the quality department across all manufacturing functions including trim division (seat cover stitching, apparel techniques), seat frame assembly, PU foam, and other child parts integration.
- Establish and enforce world-class quality systems to ensure defect-free products that meet customer, industry, and regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement robust quality assurance processes from incoming raw materials to final seat assembly and dispatch.
- Build strong cross-functional collaboration with production, supply chain, new product development and engineering to maintain a culture of "FIRST TIME RIGHT" and continuous improvement.
- Lead internal and external audits, customer quality approvals, and OEM compliance.
- Drive problem-solving methodologies (8D/8-steps problem solving, root cause analysis, Lean Six Sigma, etc.) to eliminate recurring issues and enhance operational excellence.
- Mentor and guide the quality team to achieve performance goals and professional development.
- This is a hands-on position where the selected candidate will be required to work closely with the production team on the factory floor to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout all operational processes.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, textile/apparel technology, or equivalent. A master's qualification will be an advantage.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in quality management within apparel/automotive/seat manufacturing or a related industry.
- Strong exposure to stitching/trim quality control as well as manufacturing process quality (frames, foams, assembly).
- Hands-on experience with ISO standards, Lean manufacturing, and quality management systems.
- Proven leadership with the ability to balance apparel detail orientation and industrial manufacturing scale.
